At Simply Roots, food safety and consumer confidence are at the core of our operations. From growing to packing, shipping, and distribution, we follow strict food safety protocols to ensure that our produce meets the highest quality and safety standards.

We work closely with well-established farms in Ensenada, Baja California, where our dedicated quality control department carefully inspects every product to ensure that it meets the required standards before being released. If any product does not meet compliance, we follow strict protocols to assess responsibility and adjust pricing accordingly based on severity and volume.

To minimize risks and uphold industry-leading food safety practices, Simply Roots and our partner farms implement the following programs:

Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Scheduled and Random Testing

Internal and Third-Party Auditing

Traceability Measures

In addition to our rigorous internal quality control measures, our partner farms are certified under PrimusGFS, a globally recognized food safety certification system that ensures compliance with best agricultural and handling practices. Our organic products are also USDA NOP Certified, and we uphold Fair Trade social responsibility standards to support ethical and sustainable farming practices.

Our logistics operations, including our partnership with HC Produce in Otay Mesa, ensure that produce is handled, stored, and transported under optimal conditions to preserve freshness, quality, and safety throughout the supply chain.

At Simply Roots, we remain committed to researching, evaluating, and implementing the best agricultural and food safety practices to deliver safe, high-quality produce to our customers.
